Srinagar: The security forces on Tuesday morning achieved yet another success when they killed three Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in a fierce encounter in Handwara district of North Kashmir.

“Acting on a tip-off about presence of some terrorists, the security forces cordoned off Magam area in Handwara,” said a police official.
As the security forces closed in on the hiding terrorists, a fierce gun battle started, in which the three Pakistani terrorists were killed, said the police official.
Large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site.
Though the encounter has ended, a search operation the area is still on, said the police official adding that there could be more terrorists hiding in the area.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police Director General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid congratulated the security forces on Twitter for killing three LeT terrorists.
