Indian Army kills five Pakistani soldiers at LoC in Rajouri and Poonch

Jammu: Indian Army on Tuesday morning avenged the martyrdom of four soldiers including a major of the Sikh Regiment by killing three Pakistani soldiers at the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to defence ministry sources, a total of five Pakistani soldiers have been killed over the last two days on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Defence sources said that three Pakistani soldiers were killed and another injured when the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in Nowshera sector of the LoC in Rajouri district late on Monday evening.

“Noticing suspicious movement on the LoC, alert troops fired to foil the infiltration bid,” said the defence sources adding that the retaliation by Indian Army took place in Rakhchakri, in Pakistan’s Rawalkot sector.

The killing of Pakistani soldiers was confirmed by Pakistan’s media that had quoted Inter-Service Public Relations confirming the death of their three soldiers in the cross border firing.

Earlier on Sunday night, two Pakistani sniper shooters were killed in Indian firing on the LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts.

“These sniper shooters were trying to target Indian soldiers on the LoC,” said sources.

Four Indian soldiers, including a major were killed in Pakistan firing on the LoC in Rajouri district on Saturday.
