Jammu: Barely 12 hours after pleading the Indian security forces to stop firing at its forward position across the border in the Jammu region, Pakistani rangers again violated the assurance and resorted to fresh round of firing in Jammu and Samba districts on late on Sunday night.

According to a senior police official, the Pakistani Army resorted to unprovoked firing at the Border Security Force outposts in Arnia, Ramgarh and Chamliyal areas of Jammu and Kashmir late on Sunday.
The BSF sources said, “the firing from the Pakistan side started again at 10 pm and this unprovoked fresh aggression was retaliated effectively and strongly by the BSF.”
Sources further said that no casualty or damage was caused on the Indian side.
However, till reports last came in, the exchange of fire was intermittently on in the sectors.
