Jammu: A day after three civilians were injured in an unprovoked ceasefire violation along the line of control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian Army soldier was injured on Monday a fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan violated at LoC in Poonch district.

According to defence sources, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked shelling and firing at Indian positions in the Krishna Ghati (KG) sector on Monday morning, injuring a soldier.
Sources said that the injured soldier was immediately shifted to hospital where he is being attended by the doctors.
“Indian positions are retaliating strongly and effectively,” said sources adding that the firing exchanges were underway between the two sides.
Earlier on Sunday, two girls and a porter working for the Army were also injured in shelling and firing by Pakistan on the LoC in the Shahpur sector of Poonch district.
