Srinagar: Yet another attempt by Pakistan to push in terrorists from across the border before the onset of winters failed as the alert Indian Army succeeded in killing two terrorists on Sunday on the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to a defence official, the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in Uri sector by neutralising to of the infiltrating terrorists from across the LoC.
Confirimg the development, defence Ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia said that the terrorists were killed in Uri sector after alert troops foiled the infiltration bid.
Large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered from the slain terrorists, said sources adding that the Army had spotted three terrorists making an attempt to infiltrate.
He said that a massive search operation in the sector was still on to neutralise the third terrorist who was part of the infiltrating group.
