Jammu: With over 200 terrorists waiting at the launch pads across the LoC in Pakistan for an opportunity to infiltrate, Pakistan Army as a matter of routine resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian position in Poonch to provide cover to such terrorists.

According to a defence official, heavy shelling and firing took place on Wednesday in Bhimber Gali sector of Poonch district between Indian and Pakistani Army.
Defence sources said that Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms automatics and 82 mm mortars in Bhimber Gali sector of the LoC on Wednesday.
The unprovoked Pakistan aggression was retaliated to by the Indian Army in equal measures.
“At around 5 am, Pakistan shelling and firing started and it continued for at least an hour,” said defence sources adding that the Indian Army responded effectively and strongly retaliated to unprovoked, indiscriminate shelling from across the LoC.
After violating the ceasefire in Poonch district earlier on Wednesday, the Pakistan Army opened fire in Naushera sector of Rajouri district.
Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Manish Mehta said: “The Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, heavy automatics and Recoilless Rifles on the LoC in Naushera sector also.”
Firing started at 9.30 am after which the Indian Army retaliated.
The firing was still on.
It may be mentioned here that the Pakistan Army has been violating the ceasefire with impunity during the last fortnight by resorting to indiscriminate shelling and firing, especially in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
“This is being done by the Pakistan Army to provide cover fire to terrorists waiting at the Lunch pads to infiltrate and create disturbance in the Kashmir valley where the terrorist groups are facing all kinds of problems to carry out anti-India activities,” further said the official.
