Gorakhpur: An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter aircraft crashed on Monday morning near Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh but the pilot safely ejected from the aircraft.

The IAF has ordered a court of inquiry to probe the accident, an official spokesperson said.
The aircraft was on a routine sortie from Gorakhpur air force station.
It was flown by a wing commander level officer whose name is not known.
Sources said that the aircraft developed technical snag immediately after taking off at around 11.30 am from the IAF air force station in the city. “After losing control over the aircraft, the pilot ejected safely and the aircraft crashed in an agriculture field,” said sources.
