Srinagar: Yet another infiltration bid was foiled in wee hours of Tuesday by the Border Security Force in Keri Sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir and in the process an intruding terrorist was gunned down.

According to a senior police official, BSF troops deployed at the Line of Control (LoC) in Keri Sector noticed some suspicious movement and when challenged, the intruding group of terrorists started firing at the BSF personnel.
“Our forces retaliated and in the ensuing gunfight that lasted for a brief period, one terrorist was killed and the remaining terrorists whose number was between two or three managed to flee,” said the official.
He said that, the BSF troops recovered a AK-47 Rifle and 06 magazines from the slain terrorist.
It may be mentioned here that earlier this month, a 20-metre tunnel dug from Pakistan side to facilitate infiltration of terrorists was detected by the BSF in Samba sector near the International Border.
