Jammu: The Army on Sunday foiled yet another infiltration bid by a group of heavily armed terrorists from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district but not before two soldiers were martyred and two infiltrating terrorists gunned down.
Sources said that a security personnel has also been injured in the encounter.
The Defence Ministry spokesperson said, “Army in Sunderbani sector of the LoC in Rajouri district engaged a group of heavily armed infiltrators in a fierce encounter in which two intruding terrorists were killed while three soldiers also attained martyrdom.”
The security forces have recovered large quantity of ammunition including two AK series rifles from the neutralised intruders.
Till reports last came in, the operation was still underway with entire area been cordoned off and intensive search operation on.
