Jammu: To facilitate infiltration of terrorists into Indian territory, Pakistan on Monday morning again violated the ceasefire in two sector of Jammu and Kashmir wherein heavy shelling has been reported.

The fresh round aggression was responded to by the Indian Army and heavy shelling and firing exchanges between Indian and Pakistani troops were on at the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati and Mendhar sector of Poonch district.
According to defence spokesman, Pakistan army resorted to indiscriminate firing and shelling at Indian positions in Krishna Ghati sector at 6.30 am and this was followed by similar action Mendhar sectors.
Reports from Mendhar said some cattle were injured as shells fired from across the LoC landed in civilian areas.
Till the time of filing of this report, heavy firing exchanges were on in both the sector, said sources who added that more than 200 armed terrorists had been waiting on launching pads across the LoC from Phallanwalla in Jammu to Kupwara-Baramulla sectors in Kashmir valley.
This is the ninth ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army since June 1 and the sixth in the last 72 hours,” said the defence spokesman.
Other hand, security forces comprising the Army and state police have busted a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) module in Handwara district and succeeded in arresting two terrorists.
Besides, carrying out activities related to enticing local youths to join the cadre to spread further violence, the arrested terrorists through their conduits had also been indulging in providing weapons to the terrorists and distributing radical Islamic material.
Meanwhile, four security men were injured late on Sunday evening in a grenade explosion in old city area of Srinagar.
According to a police official, while a mob had been raising anti-India slogans, some terrorists were also part of the crowd and one of them hurled a grenade at a bunker of the security forces in Saraf Kadal in Srinagar around 10.30 pm, resulting in injury to four security personnel.
The four injured security men included a CRPF sub-inspector and three police constables.
All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment, added the police official.
