Jammu: Pakistan army on Wednesday again violated the ceasefire in four sector including Poonch along the line of control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources in the police, Pakistan Army used mortars, small weapons and automatics to target Indian positions in Shahpur and Balakote areas.
The shelling by the Pakistan army has left a 50-year-old woman injured, said sources.
The Indian Army effectively and strongly retaliated to unprovoked Pakistan aggression, causing heavy damage to the enemy posts.
Till last reports came in, heavy firing exchanges were going on in the area.
Sources said that off-late several infiltration attempts by the Pakistan Army to push in terrorists from across the international border and the LoC have been successfully foiled by the Army and the BSF. “It is nothing but an attempt to push in as many terrorists as possible befor the winter sets in,” said an official.
