Islamabad: Pakistan on Friday allowed the mother and wife of alleged Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav to meet him at a prison here on December 25, the Foreign Ministry said.

Pakistani military court has sentenced Jadhav to death on charges of espionage

A staff member from the Indian High Commission will also be present at the meeting, Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal told the media.

Last month, Pakistan foreign office had said that it will allow Jadhav to meet his wife. However, it had stopped short of giving a sovereign guarantee about the safety and security of Jadhav’s wife, if she visits the country.

A Pakistani military court has sentenced Jadhav to death on charges of espionage and conducting sabotage activities in Pakistan.
