Jammu: Violating the ceasefire at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir is turning out to be a matter of routine for the Pakistani Army as again after midnight, its forces resorted to unprovoked firing in Poonch, injuring two Indian soldiers.

Defence ministry sources said that the Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked shelling and firing along the LoC in Poonch at around 1.30 am on Thursday. “Two of our soldiers were injured in the unprovoked firing from across the LoC,” said sources adding that the injured soldiers were shifted to hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.
Sources said that the Pakistan army used small arms, automatics and mortars to target Indian positions at the LoC
.
However, the Indian Army retaliated effectively and strongly to the unprovoked Pakistan aggression, aimed primarily at pushing terrorists waiting at its launch pads into Indian territory, said an official.
The Indian troops are on a high alert along the LoC to thwart any attempt by Pakistan to facilitate infiltration of terrorists waiting to sneak in from various locations along the LoC, added the official.
