Jammu: A day after a Pakistani national was shot at and arrested while cutting the fencing at the international border in Jammu ad Kashmir, heavy firing exchanges continued on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district on Monday after Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing at Indian positions.

According to a defence ministry spokesman, Lt Colonel Manish Mehta, “Pakistani Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars at 6.05 pm on Indian Army posts along LoC in Sunderbani sector in Rajouri.”
He further said, “the Indian Army posts are retaliating strongly and effectively.”
Till reports last came in, heavy firing exchanges were on in the area.
