Jammu: Pakistan on Saturday again violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing at Indian posts and also the civilian areas in Shahpur sector of Poonch district.

This fresh round of ceasefire violation was retaliated to by the Indian army in a fierce manner, said a defence official. “This fresh round of retaliatory aggression continued for nearly three hour in which automatics and mortar shells were used from both the sides,” said an official.
Source said that the Pakistan shelling and firing started at 11.30 am and firing exchanges only stopped at 2.10 pm.
Meanwhile, the Army during search and sanitation operations, recovered the body of a member of the Pakistan’s BAT team, killed along LoC in Gulpur sector of Poonch district on Friday.
A defence official said that the body of the intruder was retrieved and handed over to the local police.
“From the neutralised intruder, arms, ammunition and other war-like stores including a special dagger and a headband with a camera, knife, one AK rifle, 3 magazines were recovered,” said the official.
The official said that the a special class of dagger and a knife was meant to carry out quick mutilation and beheading of jawans killed.
He also informed that the intruder was wearing headband with camera on his head to record the action and possible mutilation of jawans. “The data and details of the camera will be analysed,” he said.
