Pakistani terror outfits planning multiple infiltration bids in J&K
Jammu: Pakistan-based terror outfits including Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) are said to be planning multiple infiltration bids at the Line of Control (LoC), intelligence agencies have suggested.
According to reports suggested by Intelligence agencies, highly trained JeM terrorists have been brought at the launch pads in Muzaffarabad and waiting to sneak into into the state through LoC at the first an opportune time.
It may be mentioned here that as per an earlier tranche of intelligence briefs, JeM chief Masood Azhar`s brother, Ibrahim Azhar had resurfaced in PoK and was tasked to chalk out plans for infiltration of terrorists.
Apart from reports of Ibrahim Azhar spotted in PoK, there were intercepts that confirmed that a group of 15 trained JeM terrorists had reached JeM launch pads in Markaz, Sanan Bin Salma, Tarnab Farm, Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after completing their `Askari` training camps in the Jamrud area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan.
Here it may be mentioned that the ‘Askari` training is part of JeM`s fundamental `Literature and Weaponry` course imparted to its cadres.
Sources claimed that all 15 of the terrorists brought to the launch pads in PoK near the LoC, were being prepared for infiltration in Jammu and Kashmir to target security apparatus and defence personnel.
Also the intelligence inputs have claimed that three JeM terrorists have been positioned in terror launch pads in the Nezapir sector of PoK, opposite the Indian post of Shahpur sector in Poonch district.
Sources said that an IED attack was being planned on convoys of security forces along the Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri National highway in the near future, with materials to fabricate the IED already smuggled into the Kashmir Valley.
The aforementioned alerts from the intelligence agencies comes at a time when the J&K Government issued an advisory asking the tourists and pilgrims to curtail Amarnath pilgrimage and leave the state immediately.
The advisory was issued after a series of intelligence inputs were received by security agencies warning of multiple terror attacks by Pakistan based terror outfit JeM.
Amid these crucial intelligence inputs, the Indian security establishment had decided to quickly mobilize troops for strengthening the counter-insurgency grid.
