Without mincing words, the state police chief said, “These terrorists would soon face the law,” and added that the government has announced a bounty of Rs 10 lakh for LeT terrorist Bashir Lashkari, believed to have orchestrated the said attack on policemen in Anantnag.

With regards disfiguring the faces of the policemen after being killed, the police chief said, “as per my information, they fired from a closer range and that is why there was shattering of the face.”

Though senior officials of the police and the para-military and also the chief secretary BB Vyas, paid tributes to the slain constable at DPL Srinagar, no politician was present there on the occasion.
