Security forces bust LeT terror module in J&K, arrest four OGWs

Srinagar: Security forces on Sunday busted a terror module in central Kashmir’s Bugdam district and arrested four over ground workers (OGWs) of Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), officials said.

The arrested OGWs are residents of Beerwah in Budgam district

Sources said that the Army and the police arrested a top LeT terror associate Wasim Ganie of Beerwah along with three other OGWs during cordon-and-search operations.

According to police, the three OGWs of terror group LeT have been identified as Faruk Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Yasin and Azharudin Mir.

The arrested OGWs are residents of Beerwah in Budgam district.

Police said that large quantity of arms, ammunition and other incriminating papers have been recovered from their possession.

These OGWs were involved in providing shelter and logistic support to terrorists in the area, according to police.

The arrested OGWs have been arrested under relevant sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Arms Act.
