Soldier martyred, another injured in Pakistan firing on LoC in J&K’s Rajouri

Jammu: An Indian soldier was martyred and another injured in yet another unprovoked Pakistan firing on the Line of Control (LoC) Friday evening in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian troops were “effectively and strongly retaliating to Pakistan firing in the sector”

According to defence sources, Pakistan army yet again violated ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked firing across the LoC in Sunderbani sector at 6.05 pm. “One soldier identified as rifleman Jaidrath was killed while another rifleman identified as Sachin Kumar was injured,” sources said.

Sources said that the Indian troops were “effectively and strongly retaliating to Pakistan firing in the sector.”

Earlier, Pakistani troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Nowgam sector for the third consecutive day and in Keran sector but there were no casualties in the unprovoked firing from across the LoC.
