Tehran: Armed men managed to enter and opened fire at the Iranian Parliament and also the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini here on Wednesday.

One gunman fired shots inside Parliament, injuring two civilian visitors

According to Iranian media, one gunman fired shots inside Parliament, injuring two civilian visitors, one security officer.

There were also reports of a shooting at the mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the modern state, the BBC reported.

However, there were mixed reports, with some local news agencies reporting there was a single shooter inside the Tehran parliamentary complex and others saying there were three men armed with rifles and a pistol.
