Twelve, including 4 policemen, injured in J&K’s Shopian grenade attack

Srinagar: At least twelve people, including four policemen and eight civilians, were injured on Monday when terrorists hurled a grenade at a police team in Shopian town of Jammu and Kashmir.

the two injured policemen were Station House Officer (SHO) Gulzar Ahmad and his security guard

According to a senior plice official, the grenade exploded on the road injuring twelve people that includes a girl. The condition of the injured girl is stated to be critical as she is under obeservation in a Srinagar hospital.

Besides the grieviously injured girl, the two injured policemen were Station House Officer (SHO) Gulzar Ahmad and his security guard.

Off late, there has been a spurt in terrorists attacking the security forces by hurling grenades.

These attacks are being witnessed despite New Delhi declaring a unilateral truce during the holy month of Ramazan but to no avail as the situation is being exploited by the terrorists active in the Kashmir valley to regroup and intensify their terror related activities, said the official.
